Last week has been a powerhouse of music! Well maybe not so much a powerhouse as more of a small nuclear generator. Wednesday was the highlight of the week for me! I played with Tane who was down in Hobart as part of a tour, alongside several other acts throughout the evening. We each had about 40mins to perform. I was up first, and the responses I received all night were really encouraging!

The other day I received an email from the company who distributed my CDs to a number of radio stations, outlining which stations were playing what. There was a few on the list, so I’ll have to send a thanks to each!

A friend of mine has offered to put up some posters (once I make them) at the music store where he works, which was awesome of him and has got to help spread the Daylight Tremor word:D

Tomorrow I have two gigs, first at the Village Cafe, which I didn’t play at last week because of the Oliebollen Festival, so I hope some people missed me:P Then tomorrow night at a new event called the Living Room Sessions, which if the response is good could become a regular thing!

I have a new song in the works, using a guitar tuning that’s a bit out of the ordinary:P I’m working on guitar tabs for a number of my new songs like Little Seed and Oceans, which I’ll publish soon. They are hand written, but should be easy enough to follow! I have 3 original guitar tunings that I’ve come up with (and are pretty proud of:p) which is what most of my songs have been in recently, so I’m keen to release them as well!

Last night I had a jam with some other musicians at the Sitar Lounge, which was an unusual yet sweet musical experience! They were all exceptional musicians, but I was particularly interested in a young guy playing percussion (it was an Indian drum I think, I’ll have to google for the correct name). He did so many sweet beats that I’d love to try and play in part on guitar! So if things get a little crazy, you’ll know why!
I’m toying with the idea of buying a violin bow and seeing what I can do with it on guitar. I’m not sure if that’s a little too crazy or not though…

I received two fan mail letters in the post this week, so I’m feeling a little spoilt at the moment! It’s such an encouragement to know my music is actually doing something! And I’m sure the lovely persons who sent them realize that :)

Each week I thought I might start doing a list of dates
where I’ve played and where I’m going to be playing, so here it goes!

God Bless!
