Hey! The last few days have been pretty chocked full of music goodness! Thursday I played during lunch at a Vineyard, which i now think will be a permanent thing:D later that night i checked out a new venue i will be playing at this coming thursday, and the very talented performer i’ll be supporting beforehand!
On Friday night I played at an acoustic music night! It was the first time it had been run, and was more than just a success! Top acts and a huge crowd really made it a great night!
On Saturday I played at the Village Cafe during lunch! I was going to go busking beforehand but I just struggle to get to bed early!! I’m working on it! There were heaps of people throughout the day! Some very lovely people even tipped! It was the best response I’ve had so far there! It was very encouraging, so I’m hoping it’l become a permanent gig.
On Sunday I had church before playing again at the Village. There were a few people but I think Saturday was really something special!
Tomorrow, well today now, I’m going to go looking for solutions to protect my fingernails! All this playing is taking its toll! I’ve been playing for a minimum of 4hrs each day for the past several months and I’m not sure how much more conditioned I can get them! I’ve been thinking I might put yellow nail polish on two of them that I use a lot for tapping parts:D Yellow being the Daylight Tremor colour and all:P
Tuesday I’m playing in the evening at a songwriters night, so I’ll spend some time practicing for that!
I have several new tunes to record in the coming week! And I’ve been working on a piece for the Australia’s Got Talent auditions next month!
And good luck to my gorgeous friend overseas who is starting university tomorrow!
More updates and news to come!! I think I’m 20% towards making a living from music, and considering it was 0% a month ago Im pretty happy with that!
