So last night I played for the first time at The Lark Distillery! I played alongside several other acts, all of which were top notch! We each had a 30min spot; so short and sharp! The atmosphere was really nice, as my mate said it felt like a lounge room, which I think really captured the vibe!
Today I played at church, which went really well! It was a patchwork music team, but things went pretty much perfectly! The sermon was awesome, so I hope we complimented it well! After church I played for a couple of hours at The Village Cafe. I had some lovely feedback, which is really very encouraging because I’m just sitting in the corner playing away so it’d be easy to just walk on by!
Tomorrow I’m going to scout out the few remaining venues I’d like to possibly play at! Most of them don’t have music at the moment so it’s all early days kinda stuff, but I’m hopeful it will pay off!
Gah I’d like a MacBook Pro! Maybe if I get some mire gigs I’ll treat myself to one! I think I’ll get one before starting on my next album! My friend has one and they really are so so nice! And that’s coming from a PC guy:p enough nerd talk!! (although is it still nerdy if it’s about apple?)
I’m going to make an effort to blog once a day, there’s starting to be enough stuff happen to write about xD
6 years of hard work and being poor are starting to pay off! Pay off in music terms at least anyway:p
Until tomorrow!
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. - Jesus
